Father vs. Son in space combat! Takes place in deep space. They use whatever fighter they'd feel most comfortable with. For fairness' sake, they somehow both have a copy of R2-D2.
It is said that only a Skywalker can take another Skywalker, but even among Skywalkers, they're the best.
Hm, Jedi starfighters are lighter and maybe a bit more maneuverable than X-wings, but X-wings have more engine, more firepower, and are newer fighters... I think Luke may win on the better fighter, but it's a great fight.
Unless we're talking Vader. In which case, slightly better fighter, and more experience, and Luke uses the X-wing less with time, so probably Vader.
Well, Luke eventually upgrades to Stealth X by the time 40 ABY comes around.
And I wasn't sure if Cyborg Vader would outpilot his younger self or not, though he'd be using whatever the best TIE fighter he could scrounge up against the 40 ABY stealth X.
Cyborg Vader's got more experience, and most of the stuff that holds him back in personal combat really has little effect on flying. And the TIE Advanced is a sweet ride, an ace special ahead of it's time.
