Many would support Satele in the prime of her powers against Bastila, but what if it was a few decades earlier? During the battle of Alderaan in Hope, Satele cuts through the Sith to find that they are led not by Malgus, but by Bastila (after Malak converted her). The two engage in combat. Who wins?
Bastila Shan's telepathic powers can turn the tide of any engagement, affecting thousands of beings at the same time. This *is* indication of her Force power and prodigious abilities. She's hailed as the greatest Jedi of the era bar Revan for a reason. And then in telekinesis, she's blasting back Revan, Bindo, and Juhani at the same time with telekinesis on Lehon. And then on the Star Forge, she completely dominated two of Revan's companions with the Force. She also healed Revan back from the brink of death, killed an armored thug with a single kick, quickly defeated a "highly skilled combatant" before her prime, etc.

But Shan is shanning the Shan of Shanington, so Shan should obviously win due to her being a better Shan than Shan, because Shan's shaniness is just too much for Shan.
Of course, Shan's skill in double-blade combat also gives her an edge over Shan.
