That's like denying food or any other sustenance to the others.

For Supes, sunlight is his food.

supes had his heart ripped out and regenerated it.

and wasn't he like cut into a bunch of pieces and regenerated too?

Dunno about "cut into a bunch of pieces" but when he was weakened, he was stabbed and shot several times, and healed within a few days, despite Kryptonite(liquefied and in his system) not only suppressing his powers, but they would also randomly "turn off," and he was inside so not exposed to sunlight.

Maybe he's talking about the tesseract bomb?

Not talking about Captain Marvel and the void Hound. Was a JLA issue (back when Faith was a member). Turned Supes into pieces.

IMO, not a healing feat as it was just shenanigans with dimensions, rather than actual cutting.
