If this is Chambers from Undisputed 1, then I'm backing Clubber Lang. Chambers was strong and tough but was shown he can be defeated with good technique.
If this is Chambers from Undisputed 2 then the Iceman wins. Anyone who can take out Boyka is going to beat the crap out of Lang.
Rocky's got 23 losses, going against Clubber Lang first time...21 losses, second time 22 and then the next match he loses Mason "The Line" Dixon. So yeah I think 21.
That's what i meant.
Both Chambers and Clubber are sluggers, both were beat by superior technique.
You intimated Clubber would beat Chambers w. superior technique, so i asked, does Clubber actually have that.
No, I said Rocky and Chambers were sluggers. No proof that Lang is a slugger, unless you use bad choreography as the gauge.
Lang beat Rocky the first time, you can attribute that to him outboxing Rocky or outslugging him. Either way, Lang has a decent win as a feat. Who has Chambers ever deafeated of note?
I guess we watched different ROCKY IIIs, in regards to Clubber (very telling nickname) Lang’s fighting style. I have never seen him debated as a finesse fighter, for good reason.
This part is food for thought.
While Chambers’ opponents were never named, the build up of his character, and his in universe status shouldnt be discounted.
YOU are the one that brought up choreography as if it somehow didnt make Clubber a slugger.
I’M the one that said you cant just dismss shit because you dont like the way it looks.
Its pretty obvious you have no real opinion here/are talking out out your ass, so, unless someone comes in who actually knows how to debate a topic, understands what feats and stats are and how they're compared, i’m sure not engaging you in further dumbass conversation.
Thanks for replying of course.
C’mon man.
He’s saying Clubber ****ing Lang isnt a slugger, claiming bad choreography as if that negates on screen feats, then tries to lay that shit off on ME?
Nooooo, i’m not losing any more brain cells on this one.
the whole point of Rocky 3 is to differentiate between a skilled boxer and a brawler. Clubber was a brawler which is why he ended up getting beat in the end, Rocky evolved and became a polished fighter using technique to beat a guy who was much stronger than he was.
Apollo to Rocky: "you fight great, but im a great fighter"
Apollo most certainly was a skilled boxer whatever you may think the choreography shows, the reason he may have seemed like a brawler is because his character was sucked into playing Rockys game after he lost his composure when Rocky turned out to actually be a tough challenge.
context matters guys.
PS: this is why Rocky 3 is my favourite of the series; Rocky goes through the most significant character arc in this film aside from the first one but it manifests in a physical way; he got far with his brawler style but in order to become great he had to learn how to box for real and along the way find out what hes made of and WHY he wants to be a fighter in the first place
