How does Maw hurt him? Malekith was taking hits similiar to Kryptonians in Man of Steel. Massive shockwaves and going through huge pillars. And he has ranged attacks that will get through Maws defense.

Cut off his air supply and incapacitate him. Maw is dangerous whereas malekith was beaten by Thor and frigga in combat.
