Priest

Priest, a post-apocalyptic sci fi thriller, is set in an alternate world -- one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest (Paul Bettany) from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece (Lily Collins) is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on an obsessive quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece's boyfriend (Cam Gigandet), a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess (Maggie Q) who possesses otherworldly fighting skills

shame they had to complety changed the plot of the manga for the movie....

Is Bettany now the lame-action-movie guy? Because I doubt t his will be much better than Legion; that sucked ass.

Shame really, he's a decent actor when given a proper role.

Ugh, greatly dislike vampire films. I'm more of a zombie-film watcher.

As i said in the other thread i made for this movie.....shame they had to complety changed the plot of the manga for the movie.

I laughed extremely loudly at the "ninja star" crucifixes.

This looks like one of those guilty pleasure films.

Nothing memorable, but some fun fights and actions.

I'll probably just wait for DVD, like I did with Legion.

lol, This looks corny as ****. Will go see it.

Also looks boring, tbh. Generally, they try to take the scenes that they think will "grab you" the most and put them into the trailers. The fight scenes in the trailer looked... overdone. Too CGI'd, too much slow-mo, too much camera angle swaps, etc. That's something that I'm beggining to become more and more critical of as I watch action movies.

Looks like fun.

I always laugh when they use the words "graphic novel" like it's some sort of different media than comic books.

Looks somewhat cool, better than Legion in anycase. I'll probably see it.

I just saw the trailer for it today. It looks kinda horrible, but I'm a bit interested at teh same time.
