Plot Summary: Damien (Cyril Raffaelli) is a member of the police elite task force. As a special intervention unit officer and expert in martial arts, he is a master in the field of infiltration, and well versed in successfully completing his operations through rapid, precise and often strong-arm actions.
This time, the government has assigned him the most extreme expedition of his entire career: a weapon of mass destruction has been stolen by the most powerful gang of District B13.
Assigned to infiltrate the sector to defuse the bomb, Damien must join hands with Leïto (David Belle), whose sole goal is to save his sister, fallen into the hands of the same gang. He is, moreover, the only one who knows District B13 like the back of his hand.
But the story is not so simple. Who exactly works for who? Where are those who really pull the strings hiding? And who would really profit from this bomb?
The movie came out in France in 2004. Magnolias pictures is going to be releasing it very very limitedly in theaters in America and then on DVD in September. I was able to see a subd version last night and thought the action was pretty remarkable.
its from the prodcers of Ong Bak and Transporter 2.. now id foccus more on ong bak than transporter. The movie isnt gonna blow anyone away with the story but the action scenes make it well worth it.
I watched it this morning and thought it was cool. Dialogue was pretty blaise, and the story has been done to death, but it was fun. Had a lot of "Fast and the Furious meets Ong Bak" to it.
Enjoyable and short, but probably not worth watching more than once, IMO.
