In any case, a lot of this depends on the writer and the situation (who has more to lose/gain/etc.). A person could legitimately back any of the 3.

As I've said before he held his own without any of their training and experience or the corps backing him. Also he is just SO much more creative with the use of the ring and of all the lanterns he was the one the guardians chose to save them and the lanterns as well as be the torch barer.

Plus where as Hal is supposedly so great for being the lantern without fear, IMO its far greater to overcome great fear than to simply not have it. Something Kyle does all the time.

Kyle is the lantern I don't care how many writers ride Hal's jock! 😉

Parallax couldn't even corrupt Alan.
