Magneto is what Polaris always wished he could be.

It's interesting, while their main powers are both magnetism, Polaris has doen things like bending light, and emitting Red sun radiation, while Magneto has doen things like creating EMPs and affecting nervous systems. Polaris seems more in tune with the radiation side of the electromagnetic spectrum (visible light and all that), while Magneto is solidly an ELECTROmagnetic being. Personally, I think current Magneto takes it,b ut that's only because I don't know a whole lot about Polaris.

Magneto has actually emitted microwaves before, and he's absorbed gamma rays, so he's no slouch when it comes to radiation. Magneto also seems to have more control over the unified forces, as well. Such as gravity.

Dr. Polaris is probably at pre-Fatal Attractions Magneto level.
