i am somewhat disappointed with the news. Working on another sci-fi shooter...but who knows. i wish they made it much more atmospheric like Bioshock. I still remember how Halo 1's first flood level scared me senseless.

Because I don't trust today's videogame developers to handle a series like Marathon.

I hope, a whole bunch, that it incorporates some RPG elements to the weapons and equipment systems. I enjoy busting through some levels and then being rewarded with something that actually alters my gameplay for the easier. That's a legit reward. Not something stupid like a 1% damage increase.

I don't think Bungie can make a bad game. I'll play this game, no doubt.

Activision is buddy-buddy now with Bungie, and their contract dictates that Bungie can only devote 5% of their staff to a Marathon related project.

Bungie still owns Marathon, but Activision meddling is Activision meddling.

I had no idea Activision owned Bungie's soul.

Why leave Microsoft for that?

I've heard Microsoft pissed off Bungie somehow, but that's just hearsay.
