The game totally ripped of DBZ in so many ways it's not even funny.
The Tail, Coming from a different planet, having an evil brother, Blowing up your home planet, going supersayan. They should have called it Final Dragon ball Fantasy.

1. A Genome and a Saiyan couldn't be father apart. Their tails are vastly different, too.
2. So, any hero who comes from antoher planet is ripping off DBZ? Superman does not agree.
3. Kuja is nothing like any villain in DBZ at all. He's not even revealed to be Zidane's brother or related to him for about 86% of te game. He doesn't employ anything as absurd as the Ginyu Force and he is a lot more manipulative than any DBZ villain. There's also the fact he is an underling of Garland searching for power to surpass Garland and conquer the world to sate his ego.
4. Freiza destroyed the Saiyan home planet if I recall...
5. EVERYONE goes into Trance. Not EVERYONE goes Super Saiyan. Every being of every race in FFIX can go Trance. It was simply not a normal Trance. It had the addition of stolen souls to it which, again, has no relation to DBZ.
