Yup, is no joke. After so many years The Godfather will have a video game for all systems.

Saw the world premiere on Spike TV's "Video Game Awards" show, if they do it right, this could be an excellent game.

Actually there a rare instances where you can combine EA with anything and have a good game. They're notorious for being buggy. 🙁

I was about to create a thread, but I guess I'v Been Beat.

Read the Preview and Hands on, Looks really intresting and "broad"

And For Plastation 2 un PC graphics They look AMAZING.

The Animation is beautiful, They ALmost perfectly re-created the scence from the movie.

They are even using the Actores from the Original Movie!

Even if Marlon brando is not in there, theya re still using his voice from the film.

But Francis Ford Coppola has said he wants nothing to do with it.

Have you guys even seen the trilogy? The Godfather is on acompletely deeper level than any other gangster franchise, I don't see it working, especially with EA involved. they've got the money but they also have a sincere lack of imagination.

It should'nt be done.

I have seen the entire Godfather Triology.

The first movie is the best.

No lack of anything, I entirly trust this game, and Will be the first to buy come its release.

The problem is that your not entirely following the story of the Godfather. Your just some underling, who eventually works there way to the top so there. That eliminates any hope of the game being as deep, since it doesn't even follow the Corleone family.

Wrong, Your there for the major plot outlines, Everything is intermingled.

Sure its not "As deep" But name me one Game besides HL that is.

There challenge was To amke a Godfather Game, Not change or invent anything outrageous, they are following the 1940ies Godfather World.

They have to stay with the Godfather tradition, AND add gamming elemental storyline.

The Game is not as Deep as The Books, But it is MUCH deeper then most.

This is all speculation. And how would you know if the game is deeper than most? It has yet to be released.

Watch all Devloper Interviews and movies, see for yourself.

I've watched the developer reviews, trust me I was elated when I found out the game was in production. then i heard EA were making it...

I mean why not just make a normal gangster game, why the godfather franchise? Hopefully the fad of making games of classic movies will wear out soon.

It's still speculation. Until you have the game in your hands, there is no way of knowing how deep it will be. Have you seen the number of moviess that have been turned into games? Almost all of them have sucked. So judging by that the Godfather might be the same way.
