Introduction:
Marvel comic’s Canadian magical user started his career in the pages of Alpha Flight and have had countless other appearances since his introduction. Michael Twoyoungmen was one of Canada's top surgeons, and becamefourteenth Sarcee Mystic in the long line of Shaman's. His daughter is the powerful Talisman and for a short period he actually became Talisman until his daughter retook her rightful power

In an interview found in Marvel Age #2 [May, 1983], John Byrne: "If you want to sum it up . . . he's Dr. Strange--but he does it with potions and herbs and little dolls and stuff, instead of just doing it with the power of his mind, the way Strange does. This possibly gives Shaman a slight advantage, I don't know. If he had the tools at hand, he can make just about anything. I don't know if Strange has that kind of power over the physical world."

Alpha Flight #13 [Vol.3]: Magical Coins
In the final issue of volume 3, Sasquatch uses Nemesis's sword to send him into the past. He sees Yukon Jack who prior was sent back in time with her sword as well. He just finished killing Omega Flight [scans shown earlier] and Alpha Flight has just arrived. Shaman is then approached by Sasquatch and with his powers freezes time. He then pulls out those coins, which eventually sends the past Alpha Flight to the present. While the real ALpha FLight from the present are currently in space rebuilding a cilvilization. Confusing I know, but seriously how you not respect Shaman?

The current Iron Man at the time was suffering headaches and blackouts so in order to get this fixed Shaman was recommended. Here Shaman opens a dimension that is not easily obtained, and was in constant fortune cookie mode with him. Also to note he says he was powerless in this realm when he wasn't [hence floating], he just didn't want him to take any shortcuts. He even instantly senses when a being from that realm crossed over into the normal plane.

ALpha Flight #27 [Vol.1]:
After Dark Guardian [Delphine Courtney] steals the unsuspecting Shaman's poutch in order to free Smart Alec. The machine turns the poutch inside out and since Shaman doesn't have control of it he goes out of control. If he was the one who turned it inside out he would have more control [shown in the Avengers scan]. So Talisman and Shaman have to work together, but unlucky for him he must decided to save either Snowbird who he and the rest of Alpha Flight returned back to her people [she lied and stayed with her husband on Earth] or his daughter. If she had experience she could have easily gotten out, but she just recently became Talisman. Alpha Flight is knocked out by Dark Guardian who they thought was the real Mac. Note: Talisman is set free from the Beyonder.

Avengers #323-324 [Vol.1]:
After the Avengers set off a nuclear bomb that Russian terrorists hijacked, all the heroes and Newfoundland are about to be killed. However, Shaman's quick thinking saves everyone by inverting his poutch sucking everyone and even the land into it. He was already getting exhausted transporting people from Newfoundland far away from the possible blast area and then performed this feat. He held the dimensions for over 2 hours, what a beast. Problem is he couldn't release them earlier due to they all became poisoned by the radiation so he couldn't bring them through. He probally could have cleanzed them himself, but at this point he was already exhausted. They eventually get cleanzed and Shaman saves the day. Now that's a badass feat.

Alpha Flight #38 [Vol.1]:
Snowbird is pregnant and they have to take her to a place of power in order to deliver the baby. However, Talisman set this up as a trap and her arrgoance became her weakness. Her hatred of her father and unwillingless becoming Talisman prevented her from fully unleashing her actual power. Thankfully later in the series she forgives her father and unleashes the full power of the Talisman. Major error Talisman powers work on ALL evil, not just spirits that's her powers and even without the Talisman she still has strong magical powers. Oh well it's a major error, but the writer at the time wanted to change the lineup. Here's the start of when Shaman breifly became the Talisman. The previous issue, Shaman was aged to an old man and after a short period of wearing the Talisman he was cured. He later willingly gave the Talisman back to his daughter as she is only the truely worthy one to wear it
