Silver Surfer already gives huge troubles to Thanos and is approximately equal in power. Strange alone might win Thanos. Then you put these two into a group and add three extremely powerful heroes. Thanos would go down in an instant.
Well with the prep I think he can take out Hal, Superman and Surfer easy enough. If Strange and Alan Scott aren't getting any prep at all compared to Thanos' week, I say he has a shot at beating them, maybe 3-4/10 or something.
Strange can on-the-spot time travel better than....damn...I don't even know who is better at that.
He goes into a trance, sees a river(river of time), and jumps into whenever, whereever he pleases. He can even go as far as choosing and grabbing people from other times and pulling them out. It's nuts.
He doesn't do it much because he can mess up the timeline, same with Black magic....but he can here, and damn if he and Alan would own Thanos.
CIS off, Strange is almost unbeatable if he can just get one second to himself to put up a shield. And since Thanos can't blitz, he can get it here.
I imagine Strange is the first person Thanos would target and he knows Strange pretty well, if Strange doesn't get any prep and THANOS gets a WEEK, I think he can think of something to blitz Strange with.
Warrior madness thor beat a team stronger than that (including strange AND warlock) by himself.
Thanos needed 0 prep to subdue wm thor. And was fighting him on at least even terms.
Prep is overkill. Thanos with prep is like batman with prep. This is a guy who has taken over the universe on multiple occasions, and only lost it because he wanted to lose.
Strange himself could have taken out Thor there, so could Adam. They held back and got beaten because of it.
Seriously, when is the last time Strange just shot "energy" at an enemy? They wrote it like that because if strange would have said a two word spell, Thor would have been in hell.
No, he was saying he's too powerful and needs to be downgraded. I agree with him.
When did strange say or otherwise indicate he was holding back? Thor was practically invulnerable in warrior madness, so it's not as if they were afraid to hurt him. And why do you think any of strange's spells would have worked against thor, with warrior madness AND the power gem?
In any event, this fight is between strange and thanos. The rest are irrelevant. I've never seen thanos affected with magic, though he's fought first class mages including warlock and odin. Thanos should win.

With a week of prep Hal,Superman and the Surfer arent gonna be much of a factor in this. All depends on what Thanos managed to put together. I wouldnt be suprised if he came up with a cosmic cube in that time or something stronger.

One of the annoying things about Strange is his inconsistency. One day hes fighting Galactus and the next he gets knocked out by a street level guys.
Whats the Surfer going to do besides buy a few seconds of time? I cant even remember him ever hurting Thanos really and Thanos seems to be getting even stronger.

with one week prep i think thanos could almost beat anybody and i'll tell you now surfer n superman will probably not even be a factor and besides if he gets one week prep what stops him from bringing the thanos clones? remember this is still the being who fought like ten marvel characters with just the power gem
