The gunplay in Battlefront is pretty basic compared to something like Republic Commando, which is basically DOOM (2016) in Star Wars form.

Battlefront's draw is the ability to take place in a huge battle with objectives in the star wars universe.

Republic commando is there for you to experience high-end star wars gunplay at it's finest.

Yeah, but when it comes down to it, Republic Commando has superior shooter mechanics, BFII feels basic in comparison, in terms of weaponry, design, combat, instead of locking on and shooting with a basic blaster rifle, you get a huge diverse set of weaponry with the game giving you a whole new spin on blasters, bowcasters, etc.

Hell even Jedi Academy had unique weaponry with disruptor rifles which disintegrated opponents.

Not to say Battlefront II isn't fun, because it feels funner then Republic Commando to me, it has a lot of charm, but in terms of mechanics, Republic Commando, and even Jedi Academy/Outcast is superior in a lot of ways.

I see it like this, a lot of people put Skyrim above games like Dragon's Dogma & Dark Souls, despite them having way superior mechanics, I feel like thats the same with this.

BF2 so good it even has RC, with the four rotating guns, 1st person view, sounds, and all.

Don't get me wrong, I love RC, but BF2 will always be my favorite game - and the one I've somehow invested 7500 hours in on Steam alone.

Damn it Ant, I only broke 6k. But in fairness I have 3k in RC, 8k in KotOR/KotOR II and 4k in the Jedi Knight series. Don't get me started on SWTOR.
