"Merged" Kenobi vs. Vader (read stips)
The overall mindset and increased connection to the force that Kenobi had in Rebels has been merged with his stronger and more physically capable body from ROTS.
He fights ANH Vader on board the DS, and is in full "Luke protection mode".
Can he win this time?

 yeah it's total fanfic.
But like OP says- this is basically the force enlightenment and connection that Kenobi had in Rebels, stuffed into his stronger and more capable body from ROTS.

This Kenobi would be a beast for sure. So he might well be a match for Vader.
Im not sure the defending Luke mindset was quite the same when he fought Vader, simply because Vader still had no clue about Luke, but Maul was figuring it out.
