Lmfao. My mother actually watched it with me a couple of weeks ago. She was like..."Eh. I could've done without the whole lesbian thing".
Me> "Did you even PAY attention to what the story was about?"
I didn't say that, but I sure as hell thought about it. Can't appreciate a good film. pfft. And I'll say this as well.
Hugo Weaving = One of the GREATEST character actors of modern times.

My mom did the same thing when she went with me and my dad to see it in theaters.
When Val and Ruth kissed she went "Mmm.....*loud sigh*."
(She always does that when she gets annoyed).
It ticked me off a bit, bcuz I was Val's one of my favorite characters. And the kiss was just plain, so tougnes going at it, no touching everywhere, or anything.
I'm a straight girl, too. I didnt care.
I cried almost the whole time reading Val's chapter, in the gn. I felt too sorry for her, just get disgusted at what sexuality she had.
I think that was the one point of her story too.
oh well what my moma thinks, she didnt even like the movie. "It was too political" see said.

What got me about the movie was how opposite to the comic it was. The theme of the comic was that anyone can lead the revolution, because anyone can become more than themselves. Movie took it the other way: the revolution is one thing, but it is the man, and not just any man but a super hero, that made it great.

i kinda disagree... but i have ADHD, so i may not had understood it very well.
The movie did have that "anyone can become more than themselves" (personally).
It only takes one honest person to start a revolution, but it takes all to succeed in it.
V only had his "ideas" and revenge on his side. And his words showed the people, that they're apart of it too.
one reason why they "stood together" at the end.

they really could of done with some of the scene with Finch and Dominic.
I thought the scene where Finch was talking to that dude about the records to Larkhill, could of been a deleted scene.

so i caught this on hbo this morning.
majorly dissapointing. such a half-baked film. the acting and script were so weak. nat portman should stick to something like modelling. the themes and subject matter were amateurishly in-your-face. only thing worth the time sat in front of the tv was the portrayal of V.
2/5.
