Besides, as Juntai so succintly put it in another thread, give it about three years and Superman will stack feats that would be the highlight of Marvel's top like Thor, Gladiator's entire careers. That's what's been happening for the last decade, afterall.
might as well make that thread quick, all of that will be null and void soon 😛
I'll have a hearty laugh if the new incarnation of Superman is even more powerful. Afterall, if a non-planet moving Superman can have Thor experience spontaneous bowel and bladder movements, while expressing how he never thought something like that was possible in his weaksauce Universe, I wouldn't want to be on his side.
ha-som
couldn't care less actually
i have a fundamental dislike of superman's characterization/history, not his "zomg battleboard feats"; for example, dr. polaris could be given wins over the spectre, trigon, and mordru, but he will never be half as cool as magneto
areshole uhuh
i might actually like the newer superman

Depends on the context, and who is making the comment.
For Gladiator to admit Thor was as strong as him, means Thor is AT LEAST as strong as him. Gladiator is not known for being the most humble guy (Mr. I will boast about how Iv collapsed stars in my hands with no showing or narrator to back me up on that)..

That feat was unquantifiable as well for it could have taking a million ton punch or less to achieve.
The feat was quantified for us by the narrator. It took punches that would shatter whole worlds to collapse that dimensional rift. Im not sure how much more quantifiable you want the narrator to get.
Did you want the size of the world their fists would destroy?? Because that would be more maths than we got from the Gladiator feat.

In conclusion, Thor has nothing on Glads destroying a planet in a few punches feat. He wins the strength debate.
Actually striking power comes down to a lot more than just strength. You get weight lifters with more strength then boxers and thai boxers, but no where near the striking power.
Gladiator's speed and flight are added factors to his smashing of the big rock.
For just pure strength it will comes down to weight lifting feats which Thor has won by lifting at least Half of Asgard himself. Gladiator has no such lifting feat.
In conclusion, Thor has more and better strength feats by far. And Gladiator has already admitted Thor is as strong as him. And Gladiator not being a humble guy, means Thor is AT LEAST as strong as Glads.
^ Well I only saw it recently.. Besides Carver promised he was going to post scans and make an argument for Gladiator but it never happened..
And H1a8's ignorance just gets to me, so I feel I have to reply to him even though most people have the sense not to bother!
Anyway Thor won this on the first few pages..
