I think people are underestimating thor here, he has been shown to absorb magic. Im pretty sure he can handle Strange's magic if he is able so absorb magic from Asgaurd.

You really can't base the Dr.Strange we all know on his third appearance. At the time he wasn't a full fledge sorcerer, much less Sorcerer Supreme of the universe, had no vishanti and the poor guy couldn't even fly. But, to his credit he still stole Thor's hammer and beat Loki in a telepathy fight back then.

Now, if you're talking about 80's-90's Strange, then I can't see Thor winning at all. Sure, the hammer absorbs magical bolts, but never magical spells.

I recall the Avengers comic in which Thor says this: "We know full well can't fight your spells, Dr.Strange. But, we'll be back!" after the entire Avengers roster gets casually tossed away by Strange.

Plus, if you want to compare characters like Loki v Strange to show Thor's superiority, you should show Odin barely managing a stalemate with Dormammu. And I have tons of scans where Strange beats Dormammu.

Argh........

Thor is 2000 years old. Strange is 5000.

Argh again about Asgard magic being the greatest magic. It's not. Strange's magic can come from beings who could eat all of asgard.

And even the greatest feats of Strange are only HALF his power-level. He's equally adept at black magic, which makes him a "skyfather" himself.
One of his greatest black magic feats was stealing every bit of power from Shuma Gorath. All of it. He stole an infinite amount of magic from a multiversal entity. He stole the omni-power FFS with out a single word.
In my honest opinion, those feats alone says he could yank every bit of magic out of Mjolnir and use it himself.

Incorrect, Thor is millions of years old. Ragnarok #1 retconned the history of the Asgardians.

Doesn't mean Stranges magic is as potent as the magic of his ascendants, similar actually to how Loki isn't nearly as powerful as Odin, or better yet how King Thor isn't as powerful as Odin.

Assuming Dormammu could eat all of Asgard is completely speculation.

The Odin force is regarded as one of the most potent mystic powers in the universe.

Most of Strange's most impressive feats are accomplished with prep and long periods of meditation. This is an on the fly battle, scenarios that when Strange are thrown in them I'm not impressed.

What happened to Strange when he fought Cyttorak, wasn't he imprisoned? Yes, I believe he was.

So your implying Strange is superior to Odin. no expression

Also, this isn't Dr. Strange's third apperance.

And Thor can absorb energy and turn it back on its wielder. He's also pulled a ridiculous number of tricks out of Mjolnir at one point or another, including hurting someone who was intangible, time manipulation, some low-level matter manip, etc.

I honestly give this to Thor. Strange might have a higher upper limit, but Thor's a bad matchup for him.

I'm gonna profile this and remind you of it, Digi. Because this is a load of pure 1st grade bullshit.

Classic Dr. Strange (before ****ing Bendis depowered him) owns Thor. Strange is a guy who has decent odds of soloing the big 7 of the JLA with no prep.

War of seven spheres which took place between magical entities. Strange was the number one draft pick but he turned everybody down. So the entities like Vishanti, Satanish or Ragador stopped lending their power. Then Strange learned how to harness Earth magic or gaia force which made him even more valiuable. at the end he agreed to fight for the vishanti against trinity of ashes. This battle took 5000 year in their dimemsion but a month in our.

And you're never right. At least as 'His airness' you actually tried to debate. You're as bad as quanchi in terms of your debating currently. thumb down
