mmm

While this video if of course just them practicing for a demo, I can see the first 6 seconds being something along the lines of Raph vs Don at least. Sai's can block the staff just as well as the swords erm

Yea they can. But they won't break or do anything like that. Don won't just keep Raph at bay like a video game, Raph can get in close, and he can attack alot more often with his weapons.

Plus, his throwing range is greater than the others. I mean, sure all of them can throw their weapons, but his would have the highest accuracy (three parts to "catch" with, and they are meant to be thrown if need be), and most Sai users when throwing aim for close quarters throwing to the feet. (Its also why most users carry three sai's, in case they decide to throw one)

Plus any attack that he actually lands with the long shaft (which is a little longer than the distance from your hand to the elbow), can just be followed through with a push to stab with the outer shafts.

The Sai's, while not looking like much, are great for their defensive abilities that lead to offensive attacks, and are not inferior to the others.

Just saying. I mean I like the Bo Staff (my favorite probably, especially since I actually have a 6ft one from my time in Karate), but you cant downplay the other weapons. erm

thats interesting, someone was saying how the bo staff was superior, and was forgetting about sais throwing range, of course its risky you can be disarmed using this technique.
this was just to say, all weapons have advantages and limitations. like splinter said its the man behind the weapon.
and by the way i also think the bo staff to be preety cool.

He is the leader because he is the because he is the oldest, he's loyal and he's the only turtle that listens and takes things seriously.
