dbz was my first as well. i actually remember when i first started watching it. i was in my room and my dad was yelling at me to come to the living room (i thought i was in DEEP sh*t by his tone). i went in there and started to watch, i was amazed (ppl shooting things from their hands and flying around, it was awsome, lol.) my dad told me that he was just flipping through the channels and saw a fire ball fly from a guys hand and thats how he came to start watching it (this was when it was on channel 4 on saturdays or sundays). after that me and my dad watch it like going to church everyday. we bought movies and copied some from kids from his school (all of them from movies to db-dbgt). i even bought shirts (still have them too ). its funny at how much of the knowledge i still have about the whole saga. it used to be my favorite anime in the world, but know that cartoon network screwed everything up, it lost all of its brownie points .
Yeah, same here. I watched it when i was about 9, at the time it was the frieza saga. Then I didn't for ages until the cell saga a couple of years ago.
Dragon Ball was about the 3rd series i really got into after Ranma and Sailor Moon. The ended up playing Plain old Dragon Ball on our local station[not even a FOX affiliate yet] at around 5:30am right after Sailor Moon and i ended up watching everyday even when they re-set after the first 13.I ended up really liking it when it came on but after a few months i fell out of watching and when i found it again it was being called Dragon Ball Z.Now the little kid with the Tail was grown up had a kid of his own a bunch more friends and had just used a technique that doubled his power to cripple a bald guy before fighting some runt with Troll kid Hair.I eventually caught most of the Saiyan Saga in bits and pieces before it moved to FOX all of a sudden and ended up in the Frieza Saga by around 1998.I kinda missed out on seeing Goku grown up with only a vague idea that a bunch of DB was skipped so i ended up liking Gohan alot throughout the series and he still remains my favorite character from it[Even with no clue he would become the main character eventually]
Over the years i got over the show thanks to how much more anime i got into and the nagging feeling i always had that something was wrong with lines like "Next Dimension!".It still fits somewhere in my top 30 if for nothing else the rediculous levels of power and how cool i found Gohan[His progression throughout the series made it imo].Shame he gets reamed at the end of the series just so Goku can beat a weak enemy and be called the main character one more time despite lagging light-years behind Gotenks/Gohan

i think this is the list in 'the begining of my anime shows':
dbz/db/gt
gundam wing
sailormoon
street fighter
cardcaptors
the vision of escaflowne
outlaw star
tenchi muyo (all of them: the original, universe, etc.)
cowboy bebop
*i think my list kinda got screwed up somewhere along the line up there. i also think im missing some anime, but i cant really remember right now; it was so long ago).
I think gohan in his how do ya call it.. I think its Called Mystic Super Sayin... ANyway GOhan when grown up you know I mean grown up like in DRagon ball GT but in DragonBall Z, He is as strongh as a supersayin 4 when hr is a Mystic Super Sayin. I REALLY Hate DragonBall GT It is a shame to the DBZ! I mean comeone theres not much of cool fighting! The fighting sucks! THe moment sucks! THe situation sucks! And why do only the little kids like Little Goku and Pan fight? It sucks I love DBZ one thousand more times better.
I kno GT SUCKS, Even if you listen when Goku say KAMEHAMEHA it doesnt even say it right, it calls it the KEMAY-YA wave, What the hell is going on with that.
