1. Reed Richards - scientific genius who can figure a way to stop anyone.
2. Captain America - tactical genius for combat strategy.
3. Dr. Strange - sorcerer supreme, a major power in any dimension.
4. Thor - god of thunder, durability, strength, mjolnir, nuff said.
5. Silver Surfer - le poweur de cosmica, nuff said.
6. Professor X - powerful telepath and can link everyone's minds together.

When you want to deal with people like Thanos, Captain America is a waste of slot on the roster. "You guys attack, and I'll throw my shield! WHAT A GREAT TACTICAL PLAN!" Others have been shown to be great leaders and tacticians as well. Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Thor, and Scarlet Witch to name a few, plus...they have useful powers in this context!
1. Thor--Ancient Norse Warrior and God of Thunder
2. Sersi--Eternal matter manipulation master.
3. Moondragon--Vast telepathic and telekinetic powers, beyond any puny X-people.
4. Captain Marvel (Genis)--Manipulate all kinds of energy.
5. Dr. Strange--Master of the Mystic Arts
6. Iron Man--financing, and physical power to back up Thor
Reserves:
1. Radioactive Man--controls radiation for a variety of effects, is a match for Thor
2. Moonstone--did you see her in Avengers/Thunderbolts? 'Nuff said.
3. Perun--the Russian equivalent of Thor, more or less, but a lot funnier, and hella badass. My favorite insult of his, so far, "foul buttocks touching baboon!"
1. Professor X- Insane amount of psi and will power. In direct combat he can psi link with everyone while coordinating their attacks to perfection while sheilding their thoughts and presence
2. Jean Grey- Again, second most powerful psi. Added with Charles already powerful psi talent, they can pretty much do anything. TP and TK are good combinations to have. Well-rounded in both offense and defense
3. Nate Grey- HA! need I say more?
4. Hulk- One of the strongest character in the marvelverse and the madder he gets, the stronger he becomes.......the brawns of the group
5. Doctor Strange- Wields incalculable amount of mystical energy and is known as the the strongest mage in the marvelverse
6. Reed Richards- The sci genius of the group.
7. Captain America- Leadership and tactical abilities.
bloodstorm- very, very, very powerful(she was in the 616 universe for a short time)
moondragon- vast telekinetic and telepathic powers
scarlet witch- c'mon she is way powerful
clea- will supply all the magic needed
binary- a tad more powerful than surfer
amalgam- was able to absorb mutant powers, as well as memories and possess time travel, and has all the powers of the original x-men, and second generation x-men, as well as the powers of mystique, and destiny. here this describes her better
