just like the fantastic four was before x men. ff was first, but all these little kids thinks theyre a ripoff of the incredibles, but if you say x men, they know exactly what your talking about.
the stipulations were that, if you were immobilized for a second you lost, because some fights could last for days(batman, captain america), or superman vs hulk.sub mariner lived, he just got a whale plopped on top of him. he was also tied up. namor was like, im barely immobilized, but they were fighting at like sea world(dark crawler was right when he said it was badly written) and aquaman called a killer whale and it jumped and landed on namor
I agree that Namor is more durable and definitely stronger, however better fighter and faster in the air is definitely debatable. StarFire comes from a warrior race, a society founded on the arts of warfare, a very passionate race and she is their warrior princess. Namor flies around 500mph how do you know he's faster than StarFire?
I think it's pretty apparent that I'm somewhat biased. But considering The Avenging Son has more victories and experience under his belt than some Teen Titan Teeny Boper ( Yes, I know she's an adult -- now. ) this is absolutely no contest. Namor has faced enemies of various statures and degrees. It'd be more likely that Starfire would end up in Namor's bed chambers swooning over his mighty TRIDENT and making jokes about one handed Orin ( Yes, I know he has two -- now. ) and how he struggles with door knobs.
Considering she's probably had more comic book appearances than him, being a regular part of team she's debatably had more victories under her belt. Also Atlanteans arent as war orientated as the Tamarans so whose fighting skills are better is very debatable. He's definitely stronger and more durable, however Starfire to my knowledge is faster and of course has her long range star bolts. So who knows? I'll wait for more people to contribute before i vote.
I'd like to think they are. In the older versions of Namor The Sub-Mariner it seemed that the Atlantean EMPIRE was always preparing for conflict with either the surface world or other sentient sea dwelling lifeforms. They dawned armor and battle gear that seemed to express the attributes of a war-like culture. Again, very debatable.
Namor has battled EVERY major hero and villain of Marvel comics. Name it, Namor has fought it. Namor has WAY more experience (Since he is three times older...). That is a fact.
Atlanteans are war oriented. Namor is invading surface world in every second issue he is, would you think he would be doing that if he would have been raised in peace-loving community? Atlanteans are warriors.
This is kinda of a touch battle. I think Namor wins, but not easy. Starfire is THE strongest teen titan. Even stronger than Cyborg. The thing is, DC has not dam class system, so i dont really know how strong that is. I doubt shes in the 100cl though.
I do however think she has the speed advantage. Going well past Mach. Also. Fighting skills are well tuned, but not many characters in comics have as much experience as Namor.
It was stated that she has the power of a small star. If her blasts can get hot enough, with luck she can dehydrate Namors strength to give her a better chance.
Pretty good fight though. All in all i say Namor takes it 6.5/10. Shes fast as hell.
