A continous blast of highpowered magic drops the aura that saves his ass so much.
Once the aura is gone, someone who's strong enough to hit despero and other bigtime characters CAN muster enough force to hit a questionable class 100 and break the skin.

He will cut Superman if the aura is negated.

Why can't Wolverine mixed with Aquaman gut Superman??

Nope. Superman wouldn't even have to deal with Aquawolverine if he didn't want to. Not only has Superman taken more powerful magic before, but can't Aquaman's hand only cure mutations? If that's the case, then Aquawolverine would certainly have no chance against Superman. Neither Arthur nor Wolverine have reaction times to that of Superman who would be in and out of there before he could blink. His durability would be shot to hell when he's getting 100's of SUPERMAN'S punches a second while Superman is intangible and/or invisible. Wolverine w/ Arthur's powers doesn't have a shot really.

Because thats not how the aura works? I thought it was that magical attacks went through the aura like it wasnt there, not that they temporarily deactivated it. If that were the case, then someone could throw an enchanted sponge at him and then shoot him. Bang, no more Superman.

Wolverine is the definition of willpower.

He doesn't get the lip service Superman and others get, but he's in the running.
