But shouldn't.
It should be of no matter what someone wears (or doesn't) ... if they feel that they need to express themselves or that their style demands it why should we limit them? There are no logical reasons for it. The government has no right to take away freedoms from people, on the contrary it has an obligation to ensure them.
When I was in 8th grade we had a uniform dress code. We hated it but at the same time it worked. All the kids who might have been made fun of for not having the best clothes did not have to worry about it. At the same time we could not express ourselves or e who we wanted to be.
I'm against dress codes. I go to public school so we don't have unifroms but we have a dress code, and alot of stuff is not allowed either because of foul language on shirts, religion, sex etc. But personally i think it's bull... if you go to a public school you're faced with anti everything so if a shirt that has " go smoke.." or "bad religion" offends you you need to get over yourself.

Personally, I like school uniforms, I guess because they're what I grew up with. I never had to worry with "OMG!!111 U got ur stuff at Abercrombie!!111 COOLZZ!!! OMG!?! did u c her yesterday!!? her crap was from friggin jcpenny!"
I had a uniform through middle and elementary school and I thought it was really gay until I got to highschool and it's a dress code, though a stricter one than in public school, and I hate it because of the above mentioned Abercrombie vs. Jcpenny thing, because contrary to popular belief, not everyone at Catholic school is rich.
Anyone for having to wear a strict outfit, or a uniform should be smacked. I'm out of dress code everyday although we have one, and it's strict as hell!
im for it because if you have a dress code at school then there will be less people making fun of how you dress, and worrying about how they'll look forr after school going to the mall or on a date its just plain dumb to not to my school doesnt and we need it sure you can have spirit week for dressing up in themes but other than that its for the best

I never had to wear a School Uniform, neither in Germany nor the US and...that never happened to me either. Nor did I ever notice it happen to anyone else. And if it does, though stupid, it is the choice of the people that want to think in such categories.
Here's an offer, what about people that want School uniforms wear them and those that don't ...well..don't.
