Try tellin' that to the likes of Venom, Carnage, Green Goblin, Toxin, Sandman, Hobgoblin, Kraven, Kaine, Puma, Lizard, Morbius, Demogoblin, etc......there's nothing clownish about these guys.

see though, my main problem with this debate is that a LARGE portion of spiderman's feats aren't even when he's up against these guys...
I mean he's no sold solo's shooting,
and cyclops' blast
and plenty of cumputerized lazers.
then there's also the fact that some of his rogues ARE well established and well trained assassins, soldiers, etc...
for instance, the foereigner was a weapons specialist,
jason macendale (the second hobgoblin) was an insanely skilled cia operative...
hell even sin eater was a class 2 or 3 sheild agent...
yet none of these guys landed shots on spidey with firearms....
then of course you have incidents where he's shown to be dodging crazy amounts of firearms.. I.e. when he dodged gunfire from hundreds of hydra soldiers... that's just insane... they wouldn't even have to be good shots to hit a guy...
but spidey's different.
Perhaps punisher won't kill him.. but shoot him to wound? why not? the fact is that while punisher has one decent feat of shooting of spiderman's web shooters, that's out o about half a dozen feats where spiderman does nothing but dodge everything he's got..
