He was asking for death the entire time, and he was disappointed when Superman couldn't give it to him. Along with SG and Power Girl, three Kryptonians couldn't kill him let alone keep him out for very long at all.

The comic says Cyborg was fighting Superman, Supergirl, and Power Girl. Everyone conveniently ignores that little factoid. That team would kill BA.
