IB is NOT Galactus' opposite. In fact IB is the first one to state that his powers of summoning are useless on Galactus, because Galactus is unique in that he has no opposite.

Also IB fought Galactus immediately after the Elders had given him cosmic indigestion...when Galactus was literally on his back passed out from pain.

To eliminate any room for doubt or misinterpretation/false assumptions: here is the instance where IB summoned up his might, intent on killing Galactus. He did this to a wholly and completely vulnerable and powerless Galactus...
