I think it had more to do with the music than the actual movie...,lol jk, this was my favorite movie as a kid. I idolized Axel Foley and John McClane,when growing up.

But yeah,its true that most of his new ones suck.I couldnt even get my friends to go see The Haunted Mansion when it came out because Eddie Murphy was in it.They didnt want to see it cause of the fact that his newer movies suck.Haunted Mansion was one of the rare exceptions of a newer movie of his that was good.
