Short Sword?

He's got a 3&1/2 foot blade plus double-grip hilt.

Conan would keep distance and wait for it to be thrown, then drop to the floor. The disc will be embedded in some wall behind him. This isn't Kung Lao's hat, it doesnt move up and down at will, it moves in a straight, predictable line.

I'm not up-to-date with the new movie but I know it's in a jungle so that has zero bearing on whatever the disc does here.

As far as I know the disc is a homing weapon, probably why it managed to slice up Keyes hidden behind the carcasses. You can also see the Pred. charging or programming it, something that is also displayed in the comics and games.

If Conan does manage to evade or destroy the disc, which is not unlikely at all, he will close the distance in his favor and be more than a match for the Predator. 6/4 in favor of Conan.

I think the Predator, knowing where Keyes was just threw in his general direction knowing that the meat would obscure the disk coming towards him.

If it was a homing disk the disk itself would have avoided the meat entirely, perhaps going under it and then changing direction to hit Keyes in a vital area. Plus if was that sofisticated it would surely have some call back feature. I think the 'activation' seen is what powers the flight of the disk and anything else is just speculation.

Unless there is proof that the disc can 'chase' someone moving in several directions but I don't think there is any.

Good point, but as the disc is shown to be powered up, hence partially somehow self-propelled, and made of a a very durable metal, sharpened to the extreme, it only makes sense that it takes the short route through the meat obstacles. A more complex trajectory might be beyond the capabilities of the disc, and at least make it less likely to strike. If so, I would admit that it's manoeuvrability would be fairly limited, especially in enclosed environments.

Conan takes this - while he lived, he never saw his equal on the battlefield - frequently beating opponents with superhuman strength and inhuman abilities - from being born on a battlefield, he grew up to break the neck of a Cimmerian bull before he was a full-grown man - he eventually became the king of the mightiest nation of his time - he was BORN for battles like this!

I've seen that movie, loved it too! In that one, the alien's killer frisbee is sensitive to the electromagnetic profile of humans, seemingly enough to steer it right at vital arteries and even fly on to several more targets.
Rather implausible. The Pred. disc apparently requires targeting, programming and then probably has more realistic self-steering methods like fins or small propulsion engines, something we humans will be able to produce sometime soon.

Back to the fight at hand please. So, let's say the disc is homing, but not too good at changing it's trajectory. Conan is used to facing adversaries using ranged weapons and has an eye for predicting their strategies.
I'd say Conan is by far the better close combatant of the 2 as well.

It's called Dark Angel in my country. Others "I come in peace".

It was Dark Angel when it was aired over in the U.K too. I only found about the other title from IMDB.
