Again you're using old versions of Vell before the power up in other words you're low balling.

huh? lowballing? i said he had problems with the controller, and it was that second fight i was thinking of. and that contoller didn't seem to be amped in any real way (beyond his ordinary) class 50 he would normally be at, and he was taking everything vell threw at him. he likely would have lost, but....not a great showing for vell imo, as controller isn't all that powerful. erm

mar-vell displayed decent energy attacks after that upgrade, but simon's durable as hell. that seond controller fight really sort of cinched my original opinion for me. simon is much more durable, and far far stronger than controller. if vell had to work that hard against him, i'll still take simon for a slight majority.

What durability feats do you have for Simon ?

Mar-Vell escapes the pull of a black hole.

In Marvel Adventures: Fantastic Four #16 Mar-Vell gets punched from Saturn to Earth, and is up in four pages.

Or when he took a point blank explosion from Nitro.

What to get into speed, or the way he absorbs energy ?

Mar-Vell can always BFR into the negative zone as he did to the Super Adaptoid.

I was gonna post that Simon wins the majority with only moderate difficulty. Then I saw how he was beaten in that Avengers Annual by b|tch@$$ Iron Man sad

Captain Mar-vell wins almost every time via energy absorption sad

don't really see that helping here....

confused

non-canon......

yeah, i think that's the best route for him to win, bby absorbing. but i don't see him doing that often. with cis on he's more likely to go h2h and blast.

yes, THAT he could do. it's a personal thing though--i never count bfr's as wins. if you want to say he could bfr him, he would win 10/10.

again, not sure how that helps in a fight. as far as simon's durability, he's gone for prolonged lengths of time against all of marvel's top bricks, stalemated nearly all of them, including the hulk and hercules and even had thor nearly beaten when he didn't have his hammer. he survived a massive blast from kang's damocles base, embarrassed ben, beat ultron, ko'd the abomination, punked goliath on multiple occasions.....

if cap resorts to energy absorbtion (and scans of him absorbing exotic energy) he'll win some. depending on proof, he could take the majority if you feel that is in character for him. i see cap going h2h and blasting. in that scenario, simon would win the majority imo.

From an effect of closing a gas canister NOT from the blast. Get your facts right if you're going to try and debate. You have shown no evidence to help your cause. Didn't know you were so biased. Always thought of you as a serious debater, guess I was wrong.

Don't address me again unless you want to battlezone.

P.S. Wonderman = Energy , something Vell could absorb at will. That get's the forum win...

laughing

imagine how crushed i am to have "disappointed" you. roll eyes (sarcastic)

pretty sure everyone knew it was from the effects of the gas and it still speaks to his body's overall durability. and i love the irony of your hissy-fit. you use a non-canon source to show durability and criticize MY debating? amusing? and i'm biased? lol? i've debated FOR cm many times, and showed any number of cm scans in the past. it's you who seem to have the problem with a character here.

then you say I'VE shown no proof? er, i could post all of simon's battles that i mentioned, but....why? it's common knowledge simon has handled people on cm's level (and higher) often. you've shown...... exactly nothing in return. nothing. the controller? seriously?

as regards your energy absorbing tactic: i already said it could/would work, but asked for some proof he could do it. i also questioned whether he would do so given his typical battle style and said he could win 10/10 with bfr. omg, that's soooooo biased!!1! eek!

even if you showed he could absorb simon (which IS a possibility), i also don't see it as something he'd do in every battle as he has thor's warrioresque mentality. yep, sounds pretty biased and unreasonable to me. laughing out loud

and.....if you don't want to be replied to (a) don't post in an open forum, or (b) use your ignore button. doesn't matter to me. i couldn't care less which you do. smile

as far as a bz: What the f**k? i couldn't care less about this battle. i don't even particularly like simon so i'll pass on a bz at the moment. this thread WAS just fine, and bz'ing something i could not care less about isn't really something i'm interested in, thanks.

Mar-Vell has beaten people on Simon's level

Ronan, Super Skrull, Annihilus... etc.

He's also got the ability to amp to quite a large degree (he once absorbed enough energy to create a whole sun in the Negative Zone). And he was matching Drax back in the same issues where Drax was destroying planetoids, and ripped out the core of a small sun.

He's not out of his league here, but he will have a difficult time with WM.

Toss up IMO, with a slight edge to Mar-Vell
