They would have general knowledge of Thanos, for starters. Everyone gets general knowledge about their opponents.

Secondly, in the preboot universe only Kryptonite is well known as a weakness for Superman; though its composition isn't. Red Sunlight isn't, and since the DCNU has come along, neither is that well known.

Unless I missed something, The Flash's power source isn't that well known.

Forums rules defines general knowledge as things that are generally known by the general populace, not the general knowledge of his adversaries.

Yeah but when it comes to characters that are not on earth we still apply a baseline of common knowledge so as to maintain fairness.

It should have been edited to reflect that.
