Dc seems timid in green lighting characters that arent in some way relatednto bruce

Glad to see this got an "R" rating.

I have High hopes that it will be great, tbh.

Not a fan of the animation, but the story and voice acting alone should really make it shine.

It's hard to when they're by far the most popular of DC's gallery. It just takes time, I imagine.

My sentiments exactly. 👆

I was underwhelmed by this, to say the least... 🙁

Maybe my expectations were too high going in, being a huge fan of the comic..? Dunno. Just wasn't feeling this at all.

Was it as bad as Year One, then?

I guess it's still worth seeing at least once because of that scene shown in abhi's gif? haermm

I actually liked Year One more, tbh.

The gif he posted is the entire scene... You've already seen the whole thing. 😉

Typical of abhi, spoiling the best part. Sigh.

I just finished watching it. The first half hour or so, basically the whole Batgirl prequel... It's the low point of the movie. Yes, the whole thing. Once the Joker comes in to it and we get the actual Killing Joke, it was all right.

Still was hoping it would be darker, though.

lol, what little sex scene you see is pretty tame.

Anyone hear about how some guy challenged Azzarello about it at SDCC? It was funny and sad, in the sense that Azzarello called him a pussy after writing such a terrible opening to the movie.

I saw it tonight in the theater.

Not bad, but not good. Just....okay.

It felt so underdone.

The opening with that gangster guy and Batman trying to keep Barb Way dragged for so ****ing long. She also seems to be incredibly incompetent in combat, I mean she got owned by that guy. Bruce also seemed much weaker at least in the DCAU shows he would've put her ass down, but no because he's in love he doesn't show any authority and instead she gets gassed and nearly dies. The Joker scenes were of course amazing with the flashback scenes and final theme park scenes being worthy of his Legacy as a character. But yeah the scene with Barb and the gangsters sucked up way too much time, and while the ending scenes are amazing it came a little too late. I also expected this to be much darker, and while it was at certain points this was tame as **** for an R rating.

6.5/10

Enjoyed the animation and the nod to the style of Batman: The Animated series, but the story was weak, after about 20-30 mins I found myself bored. Big letdown.

Me and my friend are debating whether Batman killed joker

should I buy

Underwhelmed given the R rating the movie got, actually some of the previous Batman movies felt darker to me. I agree the gangster story felt too long. In these movies were use to Batman beating the hell outa the bad guys we didn't get that here.

I wouldn't, but if you do, skip the first half hour. Do yourself a favour.

Still haven't brought it myself

thinking of just sticking with the graphic novel.

In hindsight, that's what I would do. /shrug
