Superman, Darkseid, and plenty others have overpowered it and Diana. Sometimes it's portrayed as an unbreakable rope that makes you say the truth, othertimes it's portrayed as something that if you're caught in you cannot escape.
darkseid powering through is has a reasonable explanation though right? Isn't he more powerful than the Greek pantheon?

Superman's also a walking plot device, so I suppose that makes sense as well.
