So your own logic applies to Sidious so a worthless point. Voldemort has better abilities and is a lot more powerful than Sidious. This is not close. Voldemort would brutalize him.

In a fight, Palpatine outclasses Voldemort in every relevant aspect. Speed. Check. Agility. Check. Precognition. Check. Intelligence. Check and re-check.

2. Canon or not there is much more throughout the entire Star Wars franchise on how Sidious is extremely powerful.
