That is true, but we're talking about literally hundreds of thousands of orders of magnitude of difference in terms of the energies they are surviving. A carapace durable enough to withstand a planet exploding would have molecular bonds so durable and strong no real life acid could eat through it, and even the Xenomorph acid doesn't have feats making me comfortable to suggest it would eat through it.
Overall agreed, so stand to reason there's more too it then, as their insides would have to be FAR more durable than what we've seen, or else be turned to jelly form the forces their bodies would have withstood on explosion and then orbital entry into earth. A simple shot gun killed them in the inside bits.
Military weaponry (not even nukes) can easily penetrate and damage tanks (several inches of the most durable steel), and carriers, etc. Predator armor has no movie feats to suggest it can withstand the strongest of military weaponry (minus nukes).
Even if you go by Predator lore (other medium) then young blood Yautja armor is intentionally made to not be acid proof. Only until they kill a Xenomorph they become blooded and get a standard set of armor. So blooded armor should be more durable than young blood or unblooded armor (as shown in Alien vs Predator movie).
Plus it was stated that Alien vs Predator is not Canon to the Alien franchise (as it contradicts it). But it is Canon to the most of Predator franchise. Weird but understandable.
Bottomline: The acid being shown to destroy armor that was intentionally designed to be weaker than standard armor (which still has no great feats) is clearly not transitive to the Death angel's armor.

This (thread) has been a fun one to read through, thanks Thinkerer.
It could be a case like comics vibranium where it completely repels the kinetic energy or something stupid like that. Like how Captain America can block a heavy swing from Thor without his entire body being shattered from the impact.
Yeah pretty much no one disputes that the Death Angel is far superior on every level head to head. The question is can the acid kill it after it kills the Xenomorph?
