For as long as Kingdom Hearts has been in production, who is to say he didn't voice the character a long time ago when he still had his youthful sounding voice.

I still don't know how good it did though.

Did this show gain a huge fanbase? Did it do well?

I was afraid it might not appeal to many and be cancelled.

I have no idea, but I think it's coming back in like a month. As I'm sure you've heard, Toonami is showing a movie each Saturday for a month. Probably so they can get their lineup straight.
