if you ask me... a guy.. who love the good old ages of Marvel...
i would say.. like in real life.. it depends on the daily constitution of the participants....
so.. what darthgoober said... wasnt bad...
the daily constitution is it.. what makes the Marvel Comics ... so "human" so good in my opinion....
of course the facts, that a "normal" Hulk is always the stronger one than a Spiderman ... have to be clear .. and have to be.. a FACT
Michael Schuhmacher won the Formula One Worldcup 8 times (i believe).. but this doesnt mean.. he was unbeatable in single races....
Namor.. under normal circumstances... dont win against Gladiator...
otherwise... Namor has beaten the Hulk in water (and lost on land)
Namor stood toe to toe .. on land.. against Hercules....
Gladiator 60%
Namor 40%
believe a fan of the good old days... Good bless Stan Lee and his days when he "makes".. Marvel...
I agree. Defeating Hulk underwater was impressive. But it wasn't because he was physically superior to Hulk. Hulk was strong enough to hang with him down in the ocean but couldn't manuever or gain any leverage in the least bit. He also could not get a bearing on where Namor was or what was going on. Hence why he lost. Gladiator has no such problem. He flies and could fight in a vaccuum or in water as well as anywhere else. He also has super-enhanced senses. So Namor's two main advantages against the Hulk, which was really the only reason he won, is fully negated here against Gladiator.
Namor could last much longer in water and bring much power to bear on Gladiator, but it would all be meaningless. For those who want to give Namor a few fights, or god forbid... a majority while underwater, go ahead and write a scenario to help illustrate why he could win because I cannot think of a single plausible one.
