Totally love the Twilight series and REALLY hope that they don't ruin them by making a stink-ass movie. But from what I've read, and seen on youtube, it looks alright so far. I don't really like who they cast for Bella though - She looks to strong as a character to play the accident prone Bella
As far as I'm concerned, it looks like a typical teen drama movie where it has a couple having to deal with some kind of obstacle. Typically this obstacle is social standing, conflicting moralities, or perhaps a crazed parental figure. In the case of Twilight, it's that one of them is a vampire. Now that's thinking out of the box.

Do you have anyone in mind that you think would have been good to play Bella? I've been thinking, and I can't think of anyone. I just imagined her more frail.
It comes out in NZ on 25th of Dec - so angry. However, Im going to Canada next week and it comes out over there on the 21st of Nov. Twilight here I come
Wow thats amazing!! How was it?? Did you go to the premiere in Westwood??
Thought you might like this Twilight Zone feature... (it's on hollywood.com) There are interviews with Robert and Kristen... plus so much more on the movie.
I just perused some reviews for this movie. It's at 43% at Rotten Tomatoes (and probably dropping). Glad to see it's getting the shitty reviews it deserves.
Big-Wig Movie Exec: "How can we take advantage, and make fat bank off, of dumb teeny-boppers that'll watch anything with cute effeminate boys like we did with High School Musical? I GOT IT!! Let's take that lame novel series and make it a movie!! Even if it's crap it'll make tons of dough!! I'm so brilliant!!!"

I didn't know Catherine Hardwicke was the director. I enjoyed her work in Lords Of Dogtown and Thirteen. I did read a bad review on Twilight, though. That's too bad, maybe Hardwicke wasn't meant for this movie.
Lords of Dogtown I adore, Thirteen was nothing special except for the mother/daughter scenes towards the end. It's nice to see a woman director working on such a big well known movie though.
