So yeah pretty sure they are/will be canon, frankly Ahsoka's fight with Maul already is. Guess we'll find out more in the Ahsoka novel.

I'd enjoy Tano's ascendancy, assuming this novel makes her an actual character with in-depth development. Filoni is just terrible at writing her into something likeable.

How so, in particular? I think her growth as a character throughout the Clone Wars was awesome and pretty apparent.
