Some people will say that an actor's appearance isn't important and all that matters is that they can act. I disagree. Film is a visual medium and the character's appearance matters. Race swapping a character is a big difference visually. I wouldn't be happy with that, just as I wouldn't be happy if they made Superman ugly or his suit green and white. I want to see mostly faithful adaptations on the characters and stories I know and love. And that's the thing, I only really care if it's about stories/characters I like. And lets face it, we would all be p***ed if the next Blade was white.

Race changing the main incarnations also takes away from potential alternate incarnations like a Val Zod or a Miles Morales.

She's good looking and can get in the right shape, but she's a bit too old to start WW at 41, as they're going to want a younger actress that can do the part for years to come. She's not a very good actress though, action yes, acting no.
