This was argued a few posts ago but in a semi type of joke

He can't get ate. His avatar is not him. He isn't outside of space-time and can regrow himself or duplicate himself from nothing. Even if he could, he can just teleport anywhere or become intangible.
People keep saying, he gets destroyed..Yet he was completely destroyed in the movie. When a person suffers a total disintegration, that is game over. He suffered a 100% disintegration however brought his projection of his avatar back like nothing happened. With or without is avatar he is still 100% aware via his consciousness.
So Surfer BFR him, with would prolly just destroy his projection, he comes back, Surfer blasts him and destroys his projection, he just comes back. What else can be done to someone who basically is Mr. Immortal and can recover from any beating..
This sounds awfully a lot like an assumption you are making. Being able to move between timelines doesn't mean you exist outside of time and space.
Does Flash exist outside of time and space? Does pre crisis Superman exist outside of time and space? Both can move back and forth among timelines. Likewise, Doc having some type of cosmic awareness(which is I assume what you mean by quantum observer) doesn't translate into existing outside of time and space.

It was stated many time that he was losing touch with our reality, he was def interested in other things besides what humanity and our present reality.
