These are scans are very mis-leading with out explaining the entire event.
First:
Warlock was backed by Lord Chaos and Master Order.
Second:
Thanos was killed by Adam Warlock who was literally One with the Soul Gem.
In fact,
Warlock attacked Thanos from Soul World (withIn the Gem)
he appeared briefly in 616 in energy form STILL connected to the Gem and attacked,
he even had to return to retirn to Soul World,
cause technically, Warlock was still dead, Warlock turned Thanos' Spirit and body into stone.
So essentially, he killed Thanos by targeting his Soul with the Gem.
The Gem alone, can obliterate a Solar System,
by blowing out the Sun.

you also forgot to mention,
that Thanos had just stomped the all the Avengers (including Thor) single handedly,
prior to his confrontation with Warlock:
Then ... AFTER all this,
Warlock STILL connected to the Star erasing Soul Gem,
in energy form,
kills Thanos by attacking his Soul directly and turning it to stone:
