And Hell. If they make another GR movie. They need to get rid of Cage and adapt the first 3 issues of this run into the movie..

That would be KICK ASS!

Well like or hate Cage's acting ability or whether he does justice to Ghost Rider...At least this time he actually gets to portray & act as Ghost Rider rather than a stunt double (doing the Ghost Rider scenes) as in the 1st movie.

Cage is an Intense guy. But amazing in his ability to creativly immerse himself into his character. A good interview.

A cool guy. I can't remember where I've seen him before.........Romy and Michelles High School Reunion!!!!! heh. You can tell he wanted the interview to go longer.

A good interview and I'm looking forward to seeing more of this girl.

I don't care what other people say. But the cast is excellent. If this movie fails it's the Director's fight to lose.

Movie was bad, which is a shame. Did have a few great Nick-Cage-Freaks-Out moments.

I haven't seen the film so I have only the trailer (which rocked) to go off.

What aspects of the film failed for you Rob?

Acting and story mostly, just crap. The action-scenes varied, a few were alright or parts there of. Camera was a lot of super-tight shots and then long ones a moment later and then back, didn't care for that too much.

One thing that confused me, he walks in the sunlight, wasn't that his weakness in the first film?

The visual of GR was vastly improved, imo. I did like this burned/charred and smoking grittier version over the first films shiny leather with bright steel and a clean looking skull.

Then it's clear that the Director lost this fight or didn't even have passion to instigate the fight in the first place. There was no story. The music was awful and the acting was atrocious. I really don't know what happened to cage in this movie, maybe the Director just said...,do what you want because it was bad.His performance in the first one was ok, i thought the darker approach would allow him to take this character to new heights but he didn't. Please people save your time and money. Pirate this turd or borrow it off a friend whom rented it. What ever you do...,do NOT SUPPORT this tripe.

lol... the consensus on RottenTomatoes is funny: laughing

With a weak script, uneven CG work, and a Nic Cage peformance so predictably loony its no longer amusing, Ghost Rider: Spirt of Vegeance aims to be trashy fun but ends up as plain trash.

The upside might be Columbia finally gives up on this, and the property eventually comes under the Marvel Studios banner, for a future effort sans Cage.

I think if another Daredevil movie doesn't start production this year, they will get that back too.

Do the studios have a 'use-it-or-loseit' clause in their contract?

This is why the clown-shoe 1994 Fantastic Four film was made, solely to retain rights.

Isnt' the "Retain the Rights" clause the reason this GR film, and The upcoming Spidey films were made?

Yes, it's true. Sony/Columbia had a ticking clock on this. You'd have to look at the fine print of contracts to see how long in between films that rights to a property come due. Only five years elapsed between Hulk and Marvel Studios' The Incredible Hulk; after Punisher: War Zone bombed in 2008, it was announced the very next year Marvel Studios had the screen rights back.

The same with Superman.
It would've cost Hollywood millions just to buy the rights back once it expired.

Not quite. Warner Bros. is the parent company of DC comics; has been for decades now. It's why virtually every DC film is distributed by them (except in rare circumstances, when they sold off the screen rights to Swamp Thing in the early 80's, which they very much regretted.) The current Superman film got put into production because of them losing the copyright to the Siegel & Shuster estate, and them getting everything back unless the movie got greenlit by a certain date.

I just came back from watching it in theaters, in my opinion it was thee worst movie I've seen as of recent.... Talk about divine intervention, close to the ending of the movie this guy in the theater falls down and starts having a seizures. They gave us free movie passes to watch it again, but I asked for my money back instead. (normally they dont give your money back but I demanded it and they did, a couple that was right beside me asked for their money back and they told them no..lol)
