Maybe it's just our American version he doesn't like?
The Japanese version is arguably cuter ...

Anyway, though I may come back to them later, there are more interesting things in this world than bugs ...

My Spanish is rusty; lady above apparently started out on a Survivor type show in Colombia a few years back, much like her American counterpart Elizabeth Hasselbeck of The View's fame. Apparently the lady found the man that would be her marriage partner there, too ...

Interesting game against a higher ranked opponent.

I played as Black using the Englund Soller gambit as my opening.

He castled, I didn't, leading to some very interesting positions.

Think the game hinged on one somewhat mispatient or miscalculated move where he probably thought I'd be pinned into near submission.

Opponent had an eye for traps, spotting and thwarting most, but I caught him with enough minor ones that he probably saw the writing on the wall; he gave up after leaving me the chance to fork his King and rook with my knight.

Right now I'm undecided if I'll pictograph this or just leave the notation log ...

Before Melissa Benoist, my favorite scene from any Supergirl production was probably the moment Helen Slater let "Linda Lee" 's date know it was actually "Linda Lee" who just saved him from harm, a "thank you" for the genuine care and concern Ethan showed for her when she was imperiled in her civilian guise and he DIDN'T know she had the resources to help herself.

Jaguar Yakota vs Lioness Asuka.

Two ladies who were/are partners in Japanese Women's Wrestling stage a match for the ages. During the 16:20 to 17 min mark, the giant swing is performed by Asuka. Though popular in video games, this is the only time I can recall seeing a man or woman perform this move in real life.

Video stills below are of a character called Darli Dagger, in the newest iteration of a game called Samurai Showdown. Made popular in the 1990s, Samurai Showdown was one of the first fighting games to feature sword play.
As far as I know, Darli Dagger is unusual in being the only character in this game that can level a BLOCKING opponent at half life WITHOUT using any sort of weapon. She can actually take an opponent's hardest single hit and knock them out with one or two punches! Move over, Supergirl!
