If you grew up in the 50's, walking on the foot hills of the California sunset lay picturesque communities that centred around the modern family. Blah blah blah... Than I would talk about the Jones and how households evolved over time due to expansion and modernism. How the family unit became less about family values and more about I". Then I would reference western culture and compare it to other cultures were modernism does not interfere with family values and how we westerners have lost sight of traditional norms. Furthermore, I would talk about suicide rates and show statistical analysis on how people are more lonely today then ever before. Ill include the article, "Is Facebook making us lonely.
