I came to this thread to read fellow stars wars nuts reactions and I have not been disappointed. I need to rewatch this movie because I missed some stuff. Like the lines in the vison. I didn't know about Ewan, Frank, or Alec in the vision.

That scene visually was just so appealing to me. I also greatly enjoyed the knew characters and Ren. The scene where he is all calm and then starts whacking things with his lightsaber and the two troopers back up and walk away was brilliant imo.

Also the final battle scene just seemed to have so much weight to it despite the characters barely knowing each other.

Well, if I take anything away from this film, it's that if we ever get back to the OT game, we have a strong argument for allowing non-Jedi use of a lightsaber. (Not that Ush would let us find one.) 😉

That's always been possible! ANH novel made reference to sabres once being much more widely used. You can use a sabre with Combat- just at a penalty.

What you can't have are Blade Schticks.

I bet the Empire wouldn't be pleased that you're waving it around, anyway. But it could make for a neat Rebel character idea, trying to evoke the heroism of the Jedi in these dark times.

If you think about it, the precedent is already there with General Grievous (lame though he be).

Yeah, I didn't think about Grievous. (Liked the character, hated the name.) But I always considered his robotic enhancement to give him super-humanoid coordination and control.
But, yeah, I don't necessarily think it fits my character, but it could be an interesting concept.
