Void is like mid to upper trans.

Voidtry is low maybe.

Actually I dont know.

That reminds me of that scene where Sentry went to the sun to kill himself, at first it started burning his flesh, a second later he healed then the heat was completely useless, he was harmed at first because he wanted to be harmed. Then Void said something like "it won't work, you don't want it hard enough, you just want to punish yourself" that's how I remember it at least. It's been awhile.

Yep you're correct, here is 2 examples where he is at a polar opposite in terms of going into a sun wanting to die or going through a sun to achieve something.

Sentry didn't go through the sun in the first set of scans. He threw the Collective energy there, which exploded.

That's..pretty blatant.

It's not blatant. What do you see by the first panel?

The explosion set off by the Collective being thrown in the sun. At no point was Sentry shown to be inside the sun.

Unless you think that Sentry flew inside off panel, and then just as he was about to exit the sun (?!) the Collective suddenly exploded on the outer part.

Yes, Sentry is pushing it towards the sun, until it finally reaches it and explodes (see the next scan).

The Sentry wasn't inside the sun, at any point.

Did I state he flew into it off panel?

You'd know he flew into he Sun if you saw the previous page I posted.

Why are you so against him flying through it.

He didn't flow into it on panel, that's for sure.

You mean the page that doesn't show him inside the sun. Yeah, I see how that shows him inside the sun.

I'm not against anything. But he didn't.

Well you shouldn't suggest something which you know I am not propagating.

So because they don't show him inside the Sun he didn't fly through it?

They didn't show every planet Sentry passed while carrying Thor in Uncanny Avengers but I wont say he didn't pass them.

Plus why be sarcastic and say "You mean the page that doesn't show him inside the sun. Yeah, I see how that shows him inside the sun. "

What's the point in making such a statement.

Why would you assume he'd fly inside the sun, without there being hint of it happening?

You're saying something's there when there's not.

The chronology is this:
a). Sentry is pushing the Collective towards the sun [last panel on first page]
b). The collective explodes when it touches the sun [first panel on next page]

You're needlessly and without evidence assuming that for some reason he went through the sun, and the Collective exploded once they reached the other side.

Again, Sentry needed to physically travel long distances to send Thor to the planet where they landed, he doesn't need to enter the sun to throw someone into the sun. I'm sure you see the difference.

I guess now that I look at it I presumed that he done so as he was what looked like bursting out of the Sun, but that's obviously a blast from the energy.

I just misinterpreted it.

I am happy to retract what I said previously.

It's cool I retracted my statement of what I said.

I am always willing to admit when I am wrong.

thumb up

You're already better than every Sentry fan I've seen.

Thanks, were not all that bad you know wink

Me and Enzeru pretty much are the same with regards to what we speak of with the Sentry.

I don't know about other Sentry fans as I haven't spoken to them nearly as much as I have with him but we agree on most if not all things Sentry related we discuss.

The sun only really seems to have a definite edge when you're far away from it. The corona is much more cloudlike.

Anyway, we've seen DS use infinitendrils. What are thoughts on crushing Prime beneath the weight of his own failure and awfulness, or even puppetting him like the Void did to Kingpin? Prime doesn't seem to be the most mentally stable of foes.

That's a good thought you have there. Void has used it on the Hulk before. And nobody has shown any resistance to it as of yet.

Just to say (I think I may have misinterpreted what you Celey and Bentley meant)

When I said that Thor helped (note I mentioned how what bbrem said checks out) when I agreed with him saying Thor had the power I will explain what I meant. As I think it has lead people to misinterpret my opinion.

In this article Bendis says.

http://www.comicbookresources.com/?...le&id=26287

"Number two, yes, Bob realized that things had gone as far as they could possibly go. There was no other end for him and without his cooperation he doesn't go away. I just didn't want to have a line in the script where someone like Spider-Woman goes, "Boy, if he didn't want us to kill him, we couldn't have killed him." I see a lot of people got it,"

Sentry's appeal by saying "KILL ME" was the co-operation he offered. Which lead to Thor being able to kill him as Sentry asked for help.

Much like he did in WWH when he asked for more punches.

As some people on this forum know. I have Agoraphobia so i don't want to lose friends here by stating what I believe. I think this is why I give the mixed messages about my opinion. And ask people for their ones. As I get worried if I state my opinion that people will get angry with me.

So I just thought I would state my opinion in it's entirety. (I hope people don't get annoyed at this message in anyway) as long as we can have a fruitful discussion without any anger I am happy.

@Quan: As I mentioned, nothing is more desperate than bringing writers opinions, since they aren't even canon or anything. But if you're so in love with Bendis maybe you can fetch me that interview where he states Molecule Man > Sentry's powers.
The writer confirmed his own work since you are pretending the Sentry didn't die because he allowed it to happen. Had he not wanted it to occur he would have regenerated.

Sentry overpowered MM on panel. On panel factoid you seem to be all over the place at this point.
