I honestly don't give a shit what Bendis says in an interview. It's been proven on different occasions that Bendis makes shit up.

In that very interview he claimed that Sentry didn't have abilities like Molecule Man etc. when that was clearly what was shown in the comic. Trying to console the fanboys who were angry a cosmic being above Molecule Man was a choke artist.
