If Richard makes a mistake he gets on the rough end of a beatdown. But that's what WM is for.
As long as he uses the WM tactical potential mixed with some of his own creativity, his more varied array of abilities should I believe get him more wins.
Keep in mind the 'length of time' here is not... very long. I think you must be underestimating her strength, we aren't talking 'beats herald levelers by slowly wearing them down over the course of several minutes.'
Even fights with people who can seriously threaten her in HtH in return simply don't last all that long unless there's holding back involved.
To go to one of your previous posts,
"How would WW act if she is facing someone with equal strength and speed, and though he may have less melee experience than she does, mixes his blows with powerful bursts of the Nova Force (Keep in mind that Nova reduced one of the Luminals to nothing but skeletal structure with one accidental blast). How is she going to overcome a fighting style like that? Especially since it's upclose, cancelling out the possibility of her crossing her bracers, but also being much wider than an individual bracer can handle?"
She's inflicted major damage on Superman who has greater strength and toughness and mixes up his blows with heat vision and frost blast, in the actual HtH portions of their combats she often holds the edge, and the entirety of the Sacrifice WWvsSM fight was not a long time, if she can inflict significant damage to Superman in just a minute or two, she can do the same to Nova. WW's also fought GLs and other ring slingers who use both blasts and melee as well. So how is she going to withstand Nova's style? Probably her great experienced with similar styles in the past, it's very much something she's used to.
Keep in mind at the same time, he will not be familiar with her style or the variety of threats she has, like the tiara that can slice through his suit and flesh as easily as it can butter, not the most intuitive thing to be worried about. Or how hard it is to escape from the lasso.
Again on the Nova-centric ness in your approach, you've been thinking about how he can plan to escape what she does, but have not been thinking about what she can plan to escape what he does, Wonder Woman is an extremely accomplished tactician and natural warrior.
I said they aren't foolproof. That is, there's no course of attack I know of his that will definitely win. Might win, perhaps, but no thing that'll grant an unbeatable edge.
Oh, one I forgot to address that's pretty important to cover specifically: Wonder Woman does have several courses of action if she's in space, in addition to just speeding out of the way before she's sucked in. Aside for trying to take him down first before air runs out (which sounds odd, but depending on his shape when he opens the stargate, possibly quite reasonable, she can hold her breath a very long time even when fighting powerful foes in space, having defeated Martians this way, and if they're both coming through a stargate that means they're right next to each other, within range of all of her attacks without exception), she recently gained a magic sea-shell she can summon from anywhere that'll take her to anywhere. And she can planeshift on her own with more effort.
While the Worldmind has done a lot of calculations, I don't think it's ever done that. It gives individual pieces of advice using it's predictive capability, not full fighting styles that are better than Nova's own. He's already a master of the Nova Corps' styles and has training from Drax, after all. WW on the other hand, is at least as good as his trainer there if not better.
And quite frankly, those arguments sound to me more like you're underestimating WW's level of attack or overrating Nova's toughness. The damage level of fights of people with this kind of power do not generally drag out that long, serious injury can be inflicted in a short time.
Nova's tough but herald level attacks are a major threat to him and done repeatedly would severely affect his fighting ability and/or simply render him unconscious. Also a lasso around him would eliminate his speed and impair his ability to use his offense fully, so that'd generally spell the end even if he was still in relatively good physical shape when it happened.
I'm a fan of both characters, and from my knowledge I can say I don't see any big stylistic edge, and both dish out a level of damage that has taken out the other or at least done major harm before. Nova is definitely not too tough for her, and what wins he takes will involve pulling out all the stop, mixing it up, and being unpredictable. Even still, the winner should take a fair amount of damage whoever it is.
IMO she's stronger then Nova. But I know he has INSANE damage soak. It's been a staple of the character for years. He didn't always have shields ya know
